Treating Hackney’s pets and people better
Hello, My name is Oli.
I'm a veterinary surgeon and one of the founders of Hello Vet. I grew up on the floor of my father's veterinary clinic and immediately fell in love with helping animals and the people who care for them.
It's the best job in the world, although, over the last 15 years, I feel vet clinics have lost the close, personal connections that used to underpin the relationship between vets, clients and their pets.
We created Hello Vet to address this issue and transform how veterinary care works in the UK. We've built clinics where I'd be happy for my own children to work and my own pets to receive care. In a world where over 60% of vet clinics are now owned by large corporate groups, we want to offer an alternative. Our London vet clinics are designed to be stress-free, open environments where owners can stay with their pets and become a central part of their healthcare team.
Dr Christian LeVan
Christian's interests include geriatric medicine, dentistry and oral surgery, effective communication with clients, and using a whole team approach to deliver excellent clinical care. Outside of work Christian enjoys cycling, swimming, climbing and skiing when he has time. He lives in NW London with his wife, son and several cats.
Dr Oli Viner
In 2015, he founded VetBooker, an online booking system and client portal that later merged with VetHelpDirect, providing the foundation for Digital Practice- a leading communications platform for vets. Oli's father was one of the original Blue Peter vets, and with a daughter who is keen to become a third generation vet, he is passionate about changing the profession for the better. Oli shares four children with his wife Lara, also a vet, alongside three cats, one labrador, two rats and a tortoise.
Belinda Andrews-Jones
Belinda has worked in a broad range of veterinary environments, from first opinion practice, referral hospital, emergency and critical care, university education and veterinary business consultancy. In 2022, she was awarded the world renowned Dr Earl Rippie award for veterinary leadership. Belinda is the Chair of the Royal College Of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) council, Chair of Practice Standards, Lead on innovation and is also the first vet nurse to sit on the main veterinary council.
